TRG – Cookies Notice
February 12, 2021
As explained in our Privacy Policy, we collect information through cookies, web beacons, and other tracking technologies, as well as through your web browser or device. Sonatype relies on partners to provide many features of our sites and Services using data about your use of Sonatype’s and other sites.
We and our partners use both first-party and third-party cookies (and similar technologies) to collect this information. First-party cookies are placed on your browser or device directly by us, while third-party cookies are placed by one of our partners. For example, we partner with Google Analytics to collect and analyze data about how you interact with our sites, and with Google Analytics Advertising for direct marketing purposes, including for targeted advertising. You can click here to learn more about how Google Analytics processes your data, or visit this page for instructions on how to opt out of sharing information with Google Analytics through your browser.
The following table describes how we use different categories of cookies and similar technologies and your options for managing their collection of data.

Provides basic website functionalities, such as accessing secure areas of one of our Services or sites. | Because these are essential and required to operate the sites and Services, there is no option to opt out. |

This data may be collected by first- or third-party cookies that are deployed for our exclusive use. We aggregate the data we collect and we cannot use it to personally identify you. For example, we partner with Google Analytics to gather and analyze data regarding the number of site visitors, how they arrived at our site, and the pages to which they navigate. Please click here to learn more about how Google Analytics processes your data, or visit this page for instructions on how to opt out of sharing information with Google Analytics through your browser. |
You may opt out by clicking the Cookie Preferences link in the footer of the site’s homepage. |
Marketing & Advertising | Tracks online activity for direct marketing purposes, such as to help us deliver more relevant advertising or limit how many times you see an ad, by collecting information such as which device or browser you used when visiting our sites.
This data may be collected by first- or third-party cookies, which may share that information with other organizations or advertisers. When we partner with third-party advertising networks, we elect to restrict data they may process to only data that is necessary to provide us with the requested advertising services, when such an option is available. This includes, for example, our use of tools provided by Google Ads and Analytics (learn more here). We partner with Google Analytics Advertising to deliver ads on other sites for our products that we think may interest you, and track the performance of our advertisements. We may use the following Advertising features: Remarketing with Google Analytics, Google Display Network Impression Reporting, Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting, and integrations with Google Ads, AdSense, Data Studio, and Search Console. Please click here to learn more about how Google Analytics Advertising processes your data and for more information about how you can control their advertising cookies. |
You may opt out by clicking the Cookie Preferences link in the footer of the site’s homepage.
More information is provided below regarding your ability to opt out through third-party programs and your individual browser settings. |
Most web browsers automatically accept cookies but, if you prefer, you can usually modify your browser setting to disable or reject cookies. If you delete your cookies or if you set your browser to decline cookies, some features of the Services may not be available, work, or work as designed. You may also be able to opt out of or block tracking by interacting directly with the other companies who conduct tracking through our Services. We currently do not take steps to respond to browsers’ “Do Not Track” signals as no uniform standard to respond to such signals has been developed at this time.
You can learn more about ad serving companies and the options available to limit their collection and use of your information by visiting the websites for the Network Advertising Initiative, the Digital Advertising Alliance, and the European Interactive Digital Advertising Initiative. Similarly, you can learn about your options to opt out of mobile app tracking by certain advertising networks through your device settings and by resetting the advertiser ID on your Apple or Android device.
Please note that opting out of advertising networks services does not mean that you will not receive advertising while using our Services or on other websites, nor will it prevent the receipt of interest-based advertising from other companies that do not participate in these programs. It will, however, exclude you from interest-based advertising conducted through participating networks, as provided by their policies and choice mechanisms. If you delete your cookies, you may also delete your opt-out preferences.
